Study Contract
The Diploma in Academic English and Study Skills is a comprehensive programme designed to equip students with the essential language proficiency and academic skills necessary for success in higher education.
This Study Contract (the “Contract”) is entered into by and between the London School of Medical & Health Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “LSMHS”), an esteemed institution dedicated to academic excellence in the fields of medical and health sciences, and the student identified below (the “Student”), collectively referred to as the “Parties.”
Programme Enrolment and Academic Commitment
The Student hereby agrees to enrol in the designated programme offered by LSMHS (the “Programme”) and to diligently undertake all required academic courses, clinical or practical experiences, and other programmatic obligations as delineated in the official curriculum. The Student affirms that they have thoroughly reviewed and comprehended the curriculum, including but not limited to course descriptions, programmatic expectations, and the criteria for successful completion. The Student acknowledges their responsibility to meet the academic standards and maintain the highest levels of scholarly commitment throughout the duration of the Programme.
Tuition, Fees, and Financial Obligations
The Student acknowledges and agrees to pay the tuition fees, administrative costs, and other associated charges as specified in the official fee schedule or financial agreement provided by LSMHS. The Student undertakes to make payments in accordance with the agreed-upon payment plan, adhering to the timelines and conditions therein. Failure to remit payments as stipulated may result in academic sanctions, including but not limited to the withholding of academic records, suspension from the Program, or termination of enrolment.
Academic Performance and Progress
The Student agrees to maintain consistent academic progress as defined by LSMHS. This includes regular attendance, timely submission of assignments, and the attainment of satisfactory grades as per the academic standards of the institution. The Student acknowledges that failure to maintain the required academic performance may lead to probationary status, academic remediation, or expulsion from the Programme, at the sole discretion of LSMHS.
Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
The Student commits to uphold the code of conduct and ethical standards of LSMHS, both within and outside of the academic environment. The Student acknowledges that adherence to these standards is essential to maintaining a professional and conducive learning atmosphere. Any breach of conduct, including but not limited to academic dishonesty, disruptive behaviour, or unethical practices, will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include suspension, dismissal, or expulsion from the Programme.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy
The Student affirms that they have reviewed the withdrawal and refund policies outlined in the official institutional guidelines. Any request for withdrawal or refund must be made in accordance with the established procedures set forth by LSMHS. Refund eligibility, if applicable, will be determined based on the institutional policies governing such matters.
Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
The Student agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary information, materials, or data provided by LSMHS during the Programme. This obligation extends to all sensitive or confidential information encountered throughout the Student’s academic and clinical activities. Furthermore, the Student acknowledges that any intellectual property developed during the course of the Programme, including research, publications, or inventions, shall be governed by the intellectual property policies of LSMHS.
Amendments to the Agreement
Any amendments, alterations, or modifications to this Agreement shall be made in writing and require the mutual consent of both Parties. No verbal statements or informal written correspondence shall alter or supersede the terms of this Agreement unless formally documented and agreed upon by both Parties.
Termination of Enrolment
LSMHS reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and the Student’s enrolment under circumstances that include but are not limited to academic misconduct, breach of the code of conduct, failure to meet financial obligations, or any action deemed contrary to the academic or ethical standards of LSMHS. The Student may also terminate this Agreement by following the formal withdrawal procedures established by LSMHS.
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Parties with respect to the Student’s enrolment in the Programme and supersedes any prior agreements or representations, whether oral or written.
